A downloadable game

" Following a brutal car accident, a young child finds itself permanently injured, having lost a hand due to extensive trauma. This new loss leaves the child feeling scarred not only physically, but also mentally, having to cope with the new reality of being a ‘freak’, and therefore refuses to wear a prosthetic hand. The hand then has to become a perfect fit for the child, to become liked and accepted by its owner by customizing itself his or her liking."

A Helping Hand was created within 48 hours in the scope of a university game jam. The main theme of competition was (Trauma and Recovery), while the technical challenge was procedural generation.

F1: Skip to ending animation

This is kind of fun. A neat idea.

A little buggy in spots but that's to be expected in jam games. Is there not an ending in the game at the moment? I got the correct items but nothing happened when I went back to the child.

Thank you for the comment Rob! We updated the game with a third build, this one should be without bugs :)

Just in case, if you want to skip to the ending, the shortcut is F1, to go to main menu is F2 and F3 changes the cycle (spawns another child). Hope you enjoy it!

Cool. thanks! I'll play around with it a bit more.
